IES is looking for an Occupational Hygiene Technician to join our team. Responsibilities will include performing indoor air quality testing, air sampling, hazardous materials sampling, health and safety consulting, site inspections during and after hazardous material removal and prepare formal scientific reports based on analytical findings and site conditions.

Salary Range: To Be Determined

Job Description: IES is looking for an Occupational Hygiene Technician to join our team. Responsibilities will include performing indoor air quality testing, air sampling, hazardous materials sampling, health and safety consulting, site inspections during and after hazardous material removal and prepare formal scientific reports based on analytical findings and site conditions.

Mandatory Requirements:

Driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
Bondable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and switch tasks efficiently
Ability to wear a respirator
Ability to work alone for long hours
Ability to travel within Southwestern Ontario daily
Ability to be on your feet for full shifts
Ability to carry ladders and other equipment
Ability to write formal scientific report
Strong time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong work ethic
Strong ability and desire to learn
Ability to maintain professional, ethical and polite composure at all times
Ability to understand and navigate complex scenarios while following relevant regulatory and company processes

Preferred Requirements: Background in Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Sciences is a strong asset. Having a CRSP, CRST, EP, ROHT or similar designation is a strong asset. A background in health and safety, environmental consulting and/or occupational hygiene is preferred, but not mandatory.
