IES is looking for an experienced Professional Geoscientist to join our team. Responsibilities will include performing environmental site assessments, developing detailed remedial action plans, sample collection and interpretation, site inspections during and after remedial efforts, and preparing and reviewing formal scientific reports based on analytical findings and site conditions.

Salary Range: To Be Determined

Location: Chatham-Kent, Ontario

Job Description: IES is looking for an experienced Professional Geoscientist to join our team. Responsibilities will include performing environmental site assessments, developing detailed remedial action plans, sample collection and interpretation, site inspections during and after remedial efforts, and preparing and reviewing formal scientific reports based on analytical findings and site conditions.

Mandatory Requirements:

Ability to practice as a Professional Geoscientist in Ontario
Strong knowledge of professional, legal and ethical obligations in the field of Geoscience
Experience in professional consulting
Driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
Bondable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Very strong attention to detail
Ability to self-manage in a professional, respectful manner
Ability to work under pressure and switch tasks efficiently
Ability to prepare and review formal scientific reports
Strong time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong work ethic
Familiarity with environmental assessments, field and sampling techniques and interpretation of analytical findings
Ability to understand and navigate complex scenarios while following relevant regulatory and company processes
Be considered a Qualified Person (QP) in the Province of Ontario
